I have been behind the lens of a camera since high school. My main subject interests are sacred images, the Southwest, foreign travel, and nature. Most of my images are printed using the Polaroid Transfer printing process, a technique using Polaroid film to print slide images onto watercolor paper. This technique creates a painterly effect with an unusual richness and depth of color, plus signature unique edges. Images I am drawn to are those which capture spirit: the rejoicing petals of a tulip; the timelessness of a carved stone stairway, and the grace of sacred statuary.

I am mostly self-taught, and have developed a photographers’ eye through an innate appreciation of beauty plus lots of trial and error. I have been printing with the Polaroid transfer technique since 1998, and have studied with Kathleen Carr, author of Polaroid Transfers by Amphoto. I am included in her newest book, Polaroid Manipulations also by Amphoto.
